Frequently Asked
Everything you want to know before we start.
What areas does Gator Done serve?+
We serve properties within a 50-mile radius of Lake Charles, including Sulphur, Moss Bluff, Westlake, Iowa, DeQuincy, Jennings, and DeRidder.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Yes. Gator Done LLC is a licensed Louisiana contractor and carries full general liability and workers' compensation insurance. Certificates available on request.
What should I do first after property damage?+
Make sure everyone is safe, contact emergency services when needed, stop the source only if it is safe to do so, photograph visible damage, notify your insurer, and call Gator Done for professional mitigation guidance.
How long does it take to get an estimate?+
Timing depends on the type and extent of damage. After the initial assessment, we explain the mitigation scope, documentation needs, and next steps as clearly as possible.
Do you work with insurance adjusters?+
Yes. We document affected areas, organize relevant loss information, and communicate with insurance professionals as part of the mitigation process. Coverage decisions remain with your carrier and policy.
Do you provide packout and contents inventory services?+
Yes. We assess belongings on site and transport salvageable items to our warehouse. Every box is numbered, photographed, inventoried item by item, and matched to a detailed contents list. Items are thoroughly cleaned, packaged, and stored in a secure, clean, dehumidified room until the property is ready for their return. This documentation also supports the property owner's insurance claim.
Who is on site during my project?+
A dedicated project lead is on every job every day. You'll have their direct number from day one.
How long does mitigation take?+
The timeline depends on the loss type, affected materials, contamination level, and moisture conditions. We explain the expected process after inspecting the property and update you as conditions change.
How fast can you respond to an emergency?+
We respond within 24 hours. We triage every call, and for true emergencies we can typically be on site within 1–2 hours depending on distance and conditions.
How do I get started?+
Request mitigation help through the website or call (337) 884-9777. Share what happened, when it occurred, and whether you have already opened an insurance claim.
