Insurance Claim Mitigation Support
Insurance-friendly loss documentation, mitigation coordination, and property recovery support.
Overview
When property damage happens, organized documentation can make the recovery process easier to navigate. We photograph affected areas, document mitigation scope, inventory contents, and communicate with adjusters while helping stabilize and remediate the property.
Documentation that stands up to a claim
The difference between a smooth claim and a stalled one is usually documentation. From the first walkthrough, we photograph and video every affected area before anything is moved or removed, record moisture and humidity readings where relevant, and build a written scope of the loss that mirrors the format adjusters work in. That means fewer re-inspections, fewer disputes over line items, and a claim file that answers questions before they're asked.
When your adjuster comes on site, we meet them there. We walk the loss together, explain what was found behind walls or under flooring, and make sure nothing that should be in the scope gets overlooked. If the scope changes as materials come out — and it often does once demolition starts — we document the supplements and communicate them promptly.
How the process works
It starts with a call or text to (337) 884-9777. We schedule an on-site assessment, document conditions, and give you a clear written scope of the mitigation work needed. If you haven't opened a claim yet, we'll tell you exactly what your carrier will want to see — and we never start billable work until you understand what's happening and why.
During the work, you get daily updates on progress, drying readings, and anything unexpected we find. When mitigation is complete, we hand you and your adjuster a full documentation package with photos, readings, logs, and the final scope. We leave affected areas clean, stable, and prepared for a general contractor to complete any necessary repair work.
Working with insurance in Southwest Louisiana
After Laura, Delta, and the freeze events of recent years, SWLA property owners know the claims process can be the hardest part of a loss. We work with all major carriers writing policies in Louisiana, produce estimates in Xactimate-compatible detail, and can invoice directly through most insurers so you're not floating large out-of-pocket costs during mitigation.
We're on your side of the table, but we're honest with your carrier too — that credibility is exactly why adjusters trust our scopes. Our job is to make sure the damage is fully and accurately documented so your settlement reflects what actually happened to your property.
